Holiday Garbage Schedule
Memorial Day Week Garbage pick-up on Saturday, June 4 Heavy Refuse Dumpster - Discontinued
The 30-yard heavy refuse dumpster has been discontinued temporarily due to misuse. Why: Unfortunately, some people are dumping materials that are not allowed such as tires, batteries, electronics, shingles, household food waste, cleaning out complete households, and contractors dumping building materials. This is not what the dumpster was intended for. Next Steps: The Village Board will investigate alternatives to implement later this year. We will keep you updated on any decisions. Brush: The brush pile will continue to be available if not misused. Please do not dump plastic lawn edging, pallets, or other items. There should only be brush in this pile. WELCOME
Nestled between Interstate Highway 43 and Wisconsin Highway 32 in southeastern Sheboygan County lies the Village of Oostburg. Settled by Dutch immigrants in the 1840s, the Village of Oostburg still has many reminders of it’s early settlers, including miniature windmills and tulips throughout the village and a Heritage Day celebration. A more permanent reminder of our heritage can be found in the many active churches, well kept homes, neat yards, clean streets and down-to-earth citizens. The Village of Oostburg is intent on putting forth our best effort to provide the highest quality of service to our residents. We are committed to improving the quality of life and promoting the importance of a "family friendly" atmosphere, without burdensome taxes or excessive government intervention. Welcome to the Village of Oostburg and our Electronic Village Hall. As our village grows, we welcome all new residents and businesses choosing to be part of our expanding community. Most of all you will enjoy the friendly, down-to-earth people here. Information on the following pages will help assist you with understanding life in the village, as well as the services offered. ![]()
